About me
I believe in the power of a public private partnership! Come check out what I have to say about it on Wednesday's panel discussion: Getting it Right: Lessons Learned in Shared Micromobility.
About me.
Freedom is one of the most associated words with bike – this is something I personally experience every time I hop in the saddle. Bike riding provides physical, emotional, and social benefits to an individual, as well as environmental benefits if that trip is replacing a car trip. As CEO of Bicycle Transit Systems, I hold this close to my heart and mind, along with our responsibility to center people, the planet, and prosperity in our strategic initiatives as a bike share operator, partner to public entities, and an employer.
Prior to stepping into the CEO role in 2021, I served as the General Manager of Indego, Philadelphia’s bike share program since the bike share program’s launch in 2015. As General Manager, I established strategic alignment with the City of Philadelphia, as well oversaw all aspects of the program ranging from marketing to system operation and expansion.
Before joining Bicycle Transit Systems, I founded and served as the Director of Gearing Up, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit that provided women in recovery and reentry program with the opportunity to ride a bicycle. My professional experience spans the bicycling industry from leading bicycle tours in the pacific northwest and southwest Utah to serving as a research fellow for the Safe Routes to School National Partnership.
When not hanging with my two sons and husband, I try to find freedom riding one of my many bicycles (a steel Breezer mountain bike, a Kidz tandem bicycle with my son, our beloved Yuba Spicey Curry family bike, or my hand-me-down, hand-built Spectrum road bike from my amazing mom!).
