Ride Indego bikeshare through South Philadelphia’s finest (and grittiest) neighborhoods to get a behind-the-scenes view of what goes into the day- to-day operations of 250 stations and over 2,500 bikes. The warehouse tour will give participants a first-hand experience of Indego’s operations, including:

• Historic and bikeshare purpose-built facility
• Balancing operations (including the use of AI-driven balancing software)
• Bike triage, repairs, and new builds
• E-bike and station battery management
• Legacy equipment maintenance and refurbishment
• Digital advertising kiosks

This walking tour explores the vibrant history of Philadelphia’s first free Black population, dating back to 1838. Join us as we walk 5-miles through historic Philadelphia, literally re-drawing the footsteps of history and exploring the lives of famous local Black figures like Harriet Jacobs, Reverend Richard Allen, Henrietta Duterte, and others.
